The Navy has a functioning railgun. This is cool!
I served as a Fire Controlman in the Navy from 1992-1998. I worked on the Mk 15 Phalanx Close-In Weapons System (CIWS). It was fun while it lasted. Someday, my FC brethren will get to work on the railgun.
